An Introduction

It seems I have a bunch of new followers lately, so I feel I should introduce myself. Also because I don’t think I ever really have here.

My name is Catty. I’m a 23 year old planted, sewn, and still growing in Pennsylvania, USA. I’m a student studying in Art Education. I’m spending thousands and thousands of dollars to be the person that makes your young-ins come home with hand turkeys and macaroni art (and I love every minute of it). No Child Left Behind is my arch nemesis.

My face looks like this:

On better days it look like this:

While forced into fine arts, I am rooted as a “crafter”. A wise Amy Sedaris (who I met!) once said that the difference between art and craft is that with art, you sign it. She’s right. That being said, it is my mission in life to make things and give them to you. Some of those things have been:

A Bob Ross plush.

A huggable, squeezable Mr. T husband pillow.

Tiny stuffed turkey dinners.

and the usual suspects.

Point is: beware of befriending me or your life will be fantastic.

In 2008, with a sewing machine and a dream I fulfilled my lifelong destiny of being a gnome:

As you can also see from this pictorial device: I am juicy and fat and wonderful and likely full of cheese. I love my body and you probably should too. Please don’t try to tell me I’m “not fat” or you’ll never get any crafts from me. WHAT A HORRIBLE FATE.

I play many musical instruments terribly because of my many, many hobbies that distract from each other. I like many musics and singing them poorly in my marshmellow peep-sized car. I’m a big ole movie/tv/pop culture nerd. Basically, I’m a walking IMDB.

TLDR: The name is Catty. Danger could be my middle name, but it’s Christine. I like big buttons and I cannot lie. I am a girl of many adjectives. I make my own sound effects. I do an excellent Tiny Tim impression. Drag queens and cupcakes are found in my agenda more often than not. More of the rare, speckled Catty will be arriving at a later date.

“I’ll be whatever I want to do.” - Phillip J. Fry

“Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” - Dr. Seuss

“At a certain part in your life. Probably when too much of it has gone by. You will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals. And you will say to yourself, “But I am this person.” And in that statement, that correction, there will be a kind of love.”
- Miss Dodger, Phoebe in Wonderland
